The SK T-Tower is an example of a skyscraper design by Junglim that establishes a relationship with the surrounding environment in a way that is not overwhelming. The building, which symbolizes a bowing gesture to greet customers, reflects the attitude of the building’s owner – SK Telecom – to attempt communication in the public realm. The envelope consists of a combination of small curtain wall units. Due to the dramatic curve at the top of the building, each of the curtain wall units are tilted at a slight angle, resulting in the creation of a new landscape form. Although access into the building is limited due to its private nature as the headquarters of a company, for this reason, the building provides an opportunity for visual communication by creating a cheerful atmosphere in the urban forest of Seoul.
